- The Senior Embedded Linux Engineer will lead the development of an Embedded Linux OS using Yocto for multiple products.
- This role focuses on ensuring product reliability, security, and long-term support for electric meter products and systems.
- Responsibilities include development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the Sensus portfolio.
- The engineer will provide designs that meet utility and industry requirements, as well as internal cost-effectiveness and performance standards.
- Experience with ARM Secure Boot and understanding of GPLv2 compliance rules are important for this position.

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in writing and debugging within Linux embedded environments is essential.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in developing Linux Kernel drivers and have experience with the Yocto build system.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and familiarity with shell and Python scripting is required.
- The successful individual will be comfortable using Linux command line tools and have the ability to research and self-educate on Open Source tools.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary for collaboration with local and remote teams.
