- The Manager, Power Systems & Control Engineering will lead a team of Grid Engineers in innovative renewable energy projects. - This role involves designing site-specific control logic and schemes for unique projects. - The position requires navigating technical and compliance challenges, acting as the "engineer of last resort." - The manager will be responsible for both technical contributions and people management within the team. - The role includes involvement in procurement decisions, electrical and SCADA design, and construction phasing. - The candidate will work on projects that utilize cutting-edge grid-forming inverters and new technologies. - The position is pivotal in delivering in-house technical solutions and studies for various projects.

⚡ Requirements

- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Power Systems and Control Systems Theory from first principles. - A successful applicant will possess skills in PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Python automation. - The candidate should have a good understanding of the NEM grid connection process and AEMO's expectations. - They should demonstrate a sense of ownership and a drive to see projects succeed. - The individual must be a dynamic problem solver who can think on their feet when unexpected issues arise. - A passion for engineering design and a collaborative spirit will be essential for this role. - Experience in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a team culture of excellence is crucial.
