✨ About The Role
- The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical parts design and its integration with product/process.
- This role involves driving the design process from concept to D sample, validating and reviewing designs with stakeholders at each stage.
- The engineer will act as a mentor to fellow mechanical cell design engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Responsibilities include developing lithium-ion batteries for energy storage systems or electric vehicle applications.
- The role requires planning, directing, and following up on project-related testing and industrialization activities.
- The engineer will interface with suppliers of mechanical parts for technical and quality discussions, ensuring high standards are met.
- Leading design reviews and ensuring the integration of product design with process design are key aspects of this position.
- The engineer will also prepare mechanical drawings and models, contributing to the product lifecycle management of mechanical components.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, materials, or a similar engineering field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in the module, electronics, or sheet metal industry is preferred, or at least 4 years in lithium-ion battery design.
- The candidate should have experience driving at least one project from A sample to SOP, demonstrating project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities are essential, with the capability to tackle complex topics both independently and collaboratively.
- The successful individual will possess strong skills in CAD and statistical approaches, indicating a technical proficiency in design.
- Experience in cell manufacturing and design experience in relevant cell formats will be beneficial for this role.
