- The primary responsibility of this position is to negotiate ocean transport of goods and commodities by sea on behalf of internal clients.
- The role involves marketing tonnage to customers and negotiating spot and time charters to maximize income for Repsol's fleet.
- The candidate will manage imports and exports of chemical products originating in Europe, particularly related to logistics for refineries in Spain.
- Knowledge of regulations related to emissions in maritime transport is required.
- The position will also support physical traders in exports from Europe when arbitrages are open.
- The candidate will need to monitor the shipping market closely to identify trends and opportunities for the fleet and internal clients.

- The ideal candidate should have a commercial degree or a similar recognized qualification, with a preference for those holding a Maritime or Engineering qualification.
- Expertise in chartering tankers and logistics flows is essential, particularly with experience in chemical tankers.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Previous trading experience with clean, dirty products, oil, or LNG will be highly valued.
- The candidate must possess excellent negotiation skills, as this is a principal requirement for a chartering trader.
- A good understanding of accounting and numeracy skills is essential for managing financial aspects of the role.
