✨ About The Role
- The Head of Remote Operations will report to the Vice President of Operations and Maintenance and will be responsible for leading and managing the real-time and day-to-day remote activities of RRNA’s Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC).
- This role involves ensuring that all renewable energy asset operations are conducted efficiently and reliably, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- The candidate will define and develop procedures for alarm and warning resolution, substation switching operations, and emergency action planning.
- The position requires overseeing the selection, productivity, and professional development of all ROCC personnel, including hiring the ROCC Supervisor and Operators.
- The role includes developing optimized communication systems between renewable energy assets, Transmission Operators, and off-takers.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of higher education and direct experience in control center operations management.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience managing a control center for a utility, ISO, or major third-party resource control center provider is required.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential for performance improvement and failure analysis of SCADA systems and ROCC processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment with proven attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
- The candidate should be self-motivated, high energy, and possess strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
