- The SW Functional Safety Engineer will be responsible for planning and coordinating functional safety activities in accordance with various industry standards.

- The role requires preparing and presenting safety analysis reports to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
- The engineer will also support certification processes for safety-critical software components and stay updated with the latest developments in functional safety standards.
- Travel of up to 20% may be required for this position.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software functional safety engineering, particularly in the automotive, energy, or industrial sectors.
- A strong understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ISO 13849 is essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, or Python, especially in safety-critical applications, is required.
- The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the hydrogen industry or with hydrogen fuel cell technologies is highly desirable.
- Certification in Functional Safety, such as TÃœV Functional Safety Engineer, is a plus.
- The candidate should be able to operate independently in a matrix organization and navigate complex business systems.
