✨ About The Role
- The Senior Guidance and Control Engineer will be responsible for the attitude determination and control subsystem of Planet Labs satellites.
- Key functions include the development and implementation of attitude determination and control algorithms.
- The role involves anomaly resolution, spacecraft telemetry trending, and the generation/validation of operational products related to attitude determination.
- The engineer will assist in the development and analysis of new mission concepts and support the state estimation and commanding system for a three-axis stabilized spacecraft.
- The position requires building ground testing equipment for concept validation and taking designs from scratch to space operation.

- A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- They should possess at least 3 years of experience as an estimation/controls engineer or in a related position.
- Practical experience in developing production-quality real-time systems in C for microcontroller or embedded Linux targets is essential.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools and processes, including version control and code review, is important.
- The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of optimal state estimation and control theory, as well as numerical methods and 6-DOF simulations.
