- This internship position is within the Grid Automation and Controls group at NREL, focusing on improving power systems operations.

- The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, particularly in power systems.
- Candidates should be enrolled as a full-time student in a relevant master's degree program or have recently completed a master's degree.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required, indicating a solid academic performance.
- Successful candidates will be able to conduct research work independently and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in writing research papers and contributing to research projects is highly valued.
