- The Project Engineer will perform engineering activities to support the development of utility-scale solar projects.
- Responsibilities include defining project constraints and preparing conceptual project layouts to maximize value.
- The role involves analyzing meteorological datasets to assess project resource characteristics and estimating annual energy production.
- Site visits are required to assess suitability and participate in community outreach events.
- The Project Engineer will assist with federal, state, and local permitting efforts and support project financing.
- Collaboration with Project Management, Project Electrical Engineering, and Operations teams is essential throughout the project lifecycle.
- The position requires the ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.

- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required for this position.
- Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in renewable energy and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with resource and energy modeling software, such as PVsyst and SAM, is preferred.
- Experience with site design tools, including AutoCAD and GIS software, will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of meteorological data sources and energy project economics is advantageous.
