✨ About The Role
- The Data Procurement Officer will act as the IEA's contact point for data and information sourcing and procurement.
- Responsibilities include evaluating existing subscriptions and advising on external data sources relevant to the IEA's work.
- The role involves planning and guiding colleagues on their information and data procurement strategy in consultation with the legal office and procurement group.
- The officer will contribute to all stages of the procurement process, including evaluating proposals and negotiating with suppliers.
- Managing the data/information procurement budget in coordination with the IEA Finance Unit is a key responsibility.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a university degree in a relevant area such as knowledge and information resource management, Finance, Law, Economics, or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement of information and knowledge subscriptions is essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple complex projects successfully while working autonomously.
- Experience in preparing contractual and purchasing documentation, as well as contracts management, will be advantageous.
- Strong relationship management skills with data providers are necessary to maintain and strengthen good working relationships.
