✨ About The Role
- The Senior Project Engineer will be predominantly site-based, working in an operational environment to install and maintain protection and control systems.
- Responsibilities include completing commissioning and/or acceptance testing of new assets on SPEN's High Voltage network.
- The role involves communicating openly with the Transmission Operations team and maintaining strong working relationships with departmental interfaces.
- The engineer will promote safety and ensure adherence to all relevant safety legislation and policy.
- The position includes coaching and mentoring trainees and contributing as an effective member of the Transmission Operations management team.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification (BSc/BEng) leading to Chartered Engineer status.
- A successful applicant will possess strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft packages.
- The role requires a current full UK driving license and previous experience in operational work within a DNO/TNO or a similar sector.
- Candidates should have existing knowledge of Power Systems Protection and Control Commissioning and maintenance practices.
- The individual should be proactive in developing their own knowledge and experience in business procedures and new technologies.
