- The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Non-Wires Alternatives (NWA) in Maine.
- This role involves conducting engineering analyses of distribution system needs and reviewing NWA proposals.
- The engineer will work closely with Distribution and Transmission Planning teams to identify NWA technologies.
- Responsibilities include managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for NWA programs.
- The position requires establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.

- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant technical experience in the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems, as well as distributed energy resources (DER) planning, is essential.
- Proven project management experience, particularly in implementing complex energy initiatives, is necessary for success in this role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, are crucial.
