✨ About The Role
- This position is responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class asset assessment model for AVANGRID's physical assets.
- The role includes conducting health and risk assessments of assets and supporting repair or replace asset strategies.
- The successful candidate will develop and maintain criteria, standards, and process documents to aid in transmission, distribution, and substation analysis.
- The position requires active collaboration with industry peers to ensure continual improvement and benchmarking.
- The role involves preparing high-quality asset management strategies and policies to influence positive regulatory outcomes and improve reliability.
âš¡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering is required, with an advanced degree such as an MBA or a Professional Engineering License being a plus.
- Candidates should have at least five years of related experience in transmission, substation, and/or distribution planning, design, operations, condition assessment, asset management, or maintenance.
- Strong preference is given to candidates with broad skills in utility asset management and engineering design expertise.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent data gathering and analysis skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret data effectively.
- Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves influencing and collaborating with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external regulators.
