✨ About The Role
- The Sales Director will develop and execute a robust sales strategy to secure business in both established and emerging markets across North America.
- The role involves managing, training, and mentoring a dynamic sales team, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- The Sales Director will oversee the sales team's adherence to internal procedures, ensuring accurate CRM entries for forecasting and resource planning.
- Collaboration with Business Unit management is essential to qualify opportunities and maintain operating and marketing budgets.
- Regular client engagement through visits, both independently and with Regional Sales Managers, is a key responsibility.
- The Sales Director will ensure compliance with all procedural guidelines and GEA policies, including Travel and QHSE.
- The role includes approving sales activity expense reports and maintaining close cooperation with key stakeholders within the LPT North America business unit.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, or a related field, or possess over 6 years of relevant experience.
- A strong commercial acumen is preferred, ideally supported by additional commercial education or training.
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of management experience and at least 5 years of sales experience, particularly in contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with liquid processing, separation, concentration, and/or drying processes will be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective engagement with clients and team members.
- The candidate should be organized and disciplined, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time is required for this role.
