✨ About The Role
- The Business Development Manager will focus on the Dairy industry and will be responsible for strengthening the sales team.
- This position is flexible and can be based anywhere in Ireland, but it requires extensive travel throughout the country.
- Responsibilities include researching, identifying, and qualifying potential leads and business opportunities through various research tools and industry networking.
- The role involves pre-qualifying sales leads, developing sales opportunities, and continually updating CRM and forecast lists.
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing RFQs, clarifying customer requirements, writing proposals, and preparing technical and sales presentations.
- Negotiating contracts and maintaining client contact while managing expectations are also key responsibilities.
- Participation in phase gate and handover meetings is expected as part of the role.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of proven experience in selling integrated custom engineered process systems specifically within the dairy industry.
- A degree in Engineering, such as Chemical or Mechanical, or equivalent experience in the Dairy industry is essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A customer-focused mindset is crucial, along with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering value to customers.
- The candidate should be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives is required.
- A current full clean driving license is mandatory for this role.
