✨ About The Role
- The Battery Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing the design, development, specification, and evaluation of ESS Li-ion batteries.
- This role involves leading and managing battery system supplier development and integration into Fluence Energy Storage Systems.
- The engineer will coordinate battery system development and validation testing while working closely with project and product management to maintain schedules.
- A deep understanding of supplier systems and solutions is required to effectively manage and communicate technical risks to the broader Fluence team.
- The position requires collaboration with Core Engineering, Project Management, and Product teams to develop hardware and software requirements.

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and over 7 years of experience in the design and development of high-voltage battery systems.
- A strong understanding of system engineering principles is essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess technical knowledge across various engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Electronics, Controls, Mechanical, Thermal, Materials, Safety, Test/Validation, and Manufacturing.
- Experience with requirements management and test tracking tools such as Jira, Jama, Doors, or TestRail is highly desirable.
- The successful candidate will have strong technical communication skills and a passion for batteries, sharing knowledge, and learning from others.
