✨ About The Role
- The Advanced Procurement Specialist will conduct Long-Lead-Time (LLT) analysis of the Bill-of-Material (BOM) during the early Design Phase of New Product Development.
- The role involves identifying and managing Single-Source and Sole-Source Components in the BOM under development.
- The specialist will create and maintain approved component and vendor lists in collaboration with Category Managers and Product Engineering.
- Performing Risk-Buy analysis for components to prevent delays in Product Launch is a key responsibility.
- The role requires collaboration with Category Managers to develop sourcing strategies and implement them in new product developments.
- The specialist will drive design-to-cost initiatives with product design engineering to select the most economical components through Techno-Commercial benchmarking.
- Participation in weekly Program Execution Team (PET) meetings to update actions from Procurement & Supply-Chain perspectives is expected.
- The role also includes creating and driving cost-reduction opportunities for products in mass production.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with over 8 years of experience or a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience, particularly in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Strong fundamentals in Electrical or Electronics Engineering are essential to effectively understand the requirements from the Design team.
- The candidate must have the ability to resolve critical technical problems by facilitating technical discussions between suppliers and design experts.
- Experience in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) industry would be advantageous.
- The candidate should have a proven track record of working with strategic suppliers to integrate new technologies into products.
- Flexibility to collaborate with domestic and international teams across various functions and time zones is required.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary for success in this role.
