✨ About The Role
- The Battery Engineer/Scientist will contribute to the portable energy consulting services at Exponent.
- Responsibilities include applying battery research and development experience to solve real-world battery electrochemistry and materials problems for clients.
- The role involves designing and running experiments, interpreting and presenting data, and preparing written reports.
- Experience with polymer processing, corrosion science, and/or metallurgy is considered a plus.
- The successful candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

- The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- A well-developed understanding of electrochemistry and lithium-ion or other battery technology is essential for success in this role.
- Candidates should possess three to five years of hands-on experience with battery research and development, which may include work during their master's or doctorate degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to convey complex technical information effectively.
- The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively within project teams and demonstrate potential for technical and project managerial leadership.
