- Responsibilities include preparing permit applications required by federal, state, or local environmental regulatory authorities for energy development projects.
- The role involves participating in agency consultations, project meetings, and client communications to ensure project success.
- The candidate will collaborate with other ERM practitioners to execute natural resources impact assessments and capital project permitting.
- Travel up to 20% of the time may be required for agency meetings, project team meetings, or site visits.

- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, natural resources, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of consulting or industry experience working with power clients on complex projects is essential.
- The successful applicant will possess strong technical writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare concise and accurate technical documents.
- Experience in permitting transmission line projects in Virginia is required, with additional experience in West Virginia and Kentucky being highly desired.
- The candidate should have well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills, along with the integrity and confidence to address client and business needs effectively.
