- The Managing Consultant will provide technical expertise, project and team management, and business development support for the Air Quality service area in the upper Midwest.
- Responsibilities include managing strategic air permits and compliance assurance programs for various industrial clients with complex technical and regulatory issues.
- The role involves developing strong client relationships to understand specific processes and create permitting and compliance strategies.
- The consultant will serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including regulatory analyses and permit applications.
- Interaction with local regulators to facilitate permit application review and issuance is a key aspect of the job.
- The position requires preparing technical proposals and participating in business development with existing clients and identified leads.
- The successful candidate will effectively manage project teams across the region, delegating assignments and mentoring junior staff.

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in air quality compliance and permitting is required, with a strong focus on managing and implementing Clean Air Act programs.
- The successful applicant will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, particularly in writing comprehensive technical reports.
- Experience in the Power, Renewables, Diversified Energy, and Pharma/Chemical sectors is highly desirable.
- The candidate should have a proven track record of managing multiple air quality projects and building client relationships that result in repeat business.
