- The EDS Engineer will be responsible for designing all EDS components, including shields, troughs, connectors, terminals, and power distribution components.
- The role involves collaborating with other teams to develop technical specifications that support the quoting and sourcing process.
- The engineer will develop and maintain a standard library of core EDS components.
- Performing virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing, is a key responsibility of this position.
- Ensuring that designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations is critical.
- The engineer will proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.
- Efficient management of supplier resources to deliver component designs that meet cost, timing, and quality targets is expected.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field is essential for this role.
- The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in electrical wire harness and/or power distribution components design and release, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Strong technical skills in wire harness component design and a six-sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving are crucial for success.
- The candidate should possess familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools or have direct experience in this field.
- Building strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels is necessary for effective collaboration.
