- The Senior Attorney will lead the strategic growth of the national zero-emission transportation docket in Washington, D.C.

- The attorney will supervise the work of Associate Attorneys, Paralegals, and Law Clerks on various projects.

- The Senior Attorney will serve as a spokesperson for Earthjustice, clients, and partners, helping to develop effective media strategies.
- Participation in long-term planning, strategy development, and goal setting for the D.C. Office and Right to Zero work is expected.
- The role emphasizes a mentorship culture, encouraging the development of early career attorneys and other staff.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant litigation and advocacy experience is required, including significant lead counsel experience.
- The successful applicant will be admitted or eligible to waive in for admission to the D.C. bar.
- Strong leadership skills are essential, as the role involves supervising associate attorneys, fellows, and litigation assistants.
- The candidate should possess a passion for environmental justice and a commitment to protecting public health and the environment.
- Experience in developing and executing non-litigation advocacy strategies is highly valued.
- The individual should be adept at managing relationships with co-counsel and diverse clients and coalition partners.
