- The role involves ensuring peak plant performance through the collection of system samples and performing laboratory analyses.
- Responsibilities include operating and maintaining chemistry equipment, documenting chemistry data, and participating in a thorough chemistry training program.
- The technician will be responsible for sampling both radioactive and nonradioactive plant systems and analyzing samples using laboratory instrumentation.
- The job requires adherence to procedures and guidelines for chemical control of plant systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts and handle physical tasks such as moving chemical drums and climbing ladders.

- A successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree in chemistry or a related science, or an AS degree in chemistry with relevant experience.
- Candidates should possess at least 2 years of work-related experience for the Nuclear Chemistry Technician II level, and 3 years for the III level, with at least 1 year of nuclear experience for the latter.
- Experience with operating and maintaining chemistry equipment and analytical instruments is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have strong documentation skills for logging chemistry data and adhering to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with nuclear plant systems and previous nuclear plant chemistry experience is highly desirable.
