✨ About The Role
- The Wind Technician will report to the Wind Site Manager and assist in the maintenance of wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- The primary objective is to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and profitable wind turbine operation.
- Responsibilities include following safety procedures, documenting work performed, and assisting in troubleshooting SCADA communication systems.
- The role requires operating and maintaining a service vehicle and keeping hand tools organized and in good working order.
- Technicians will be expected to assist in training and development of lower-level personnel as they progress in their roles.
- The job involves troubleshooting complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on wind turbines.
- Candidates will perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of components to correct malfunctions and will lead maintenance crews as necessary.

- A high school diploma or GED is required, with a willingness to obtain the latter within the first six months of employment.
- The ideal candidate should possess demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
- Candidates must be able to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work safely in confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential for this role.
- The successful individual should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibility to work on call, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
- Experience with electrical wires and the ability to differentiate between color-coded wires is preferred.
