✨ About The Role
- The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering documents and supporting technology development at Carbon Engineering’s Innovation Center.
- Responsibilities include supporting asset integrity, leading or supporting the design and construction of small projects, and assisting operators during startup.
- The role involves reviewing deliverables from sub-contractors and participating in design reviews for billion-dollar commercial projects globally.
- The candidate will collaborate with Production Engineers to troubleshoot equipment and develop engineering modifications.
- The position requires conducting site reviews and inspections to support the commissioning of projects.
- The Mechanical Engineer will interface with in-house engineering teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure project success.

- A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- The ideal candidate will possess 4 to 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in chemical plant projects or operations.
- Strong understanding of core engineering principles such as thermodynamics, heat & mass transfer, and fluid dynamics is essential.
- Experience in materials engineering, especially related to corrosion and erosion studies, is highly valued.
- The candidate should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines.
- A proactive approach to mentoring and guiding junior engineers will be important for fostering team growth.
- Familiarity with CO2 capture technologies or experience in a start-up environment will be advantageous.
