✨ About The Role
- The Senior Power Electronics Engineer will be a key member of the spacecraft team responsible for the design, build, and test of systems that go into space.
- This role involves collaboration across various teams, including electrical design, RF systems design, flight software, and spacecraft operations.
- The engineer will have significant responsibility and autonomy throughout all phases of design, testing, and production.
- The position requires hands-on work across the entire PCBA design lifecycle, from requirements definition to integration into the system.
- The role may involve working with Li-ion batteries and battery management systems, as well as familiarity with photovoltaics and MPPTs.

- The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting power electronics systems in a hardware R&D lab environment.
- A strong understanding of various DC/DC power supply topologies for systems greater than 1 kW is essential.
- Experience in magnetics design and hardware evaluation methodologies is crucial for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess excellent technical communication skills to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols will be beneficial.
- The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, with strong design and manufacturing documentation skills.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and knowledge of the PCBA fabrication and assembly process is a plus.
