✨ About The Role
- The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Onboard Charger and DC/DC Converter systems.
- The role involves designing mechanical components in compliance with BorgWarner's Lessons Learned and Best Practices.
- The engineer will work closely with the electrical engineering team to define and package PCBs, transformers, and other components.
- Mechanical analysis and verification for various performance metrics such as vibration and thermal performance will be part of the job.
- The position requires collaboration with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturing (DFM) and working with component suppliers to meet design requirements.

- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.
- A minimum of 60 months of experience in mechanical hardware design or a related position is required.
- Experience with automotive environmental and durability requirements is essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in using CAD applications, particularly NX, is necessary for the mechanical design tasks.
- The candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design and analysis for automotive-based power electronics.
