✨ About The Role
- The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical circuit design, component selection, circuit analysis, and testing of BorgWarner power electronics products.
- This role involves conducting electrical debug, test, characterization, and validation of power electronics designs to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- The engineer will create designs and layouts for circuit boards, substrates, and electrical interconnects/bus structures.
- Collaboration with systems engineers and program teams is crucial to ensure proper allocation and verification of requirements related to electrical competencies.
- The position requires supporting the product development team with technical design analysis, trade-off studies, FMEAs, design reviews, and customer presentations.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in automotive electronics product development.
- A strong background in power electronics circuit design, particularly with motor drive inverters, is essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to model, simulate, and test power electronics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information to customers.
- The successful individual will be willing to travel up to 5% for work-related purposes, both domestically and internationally.
