- The role involves supporting the mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems for global automotive customers.
- The engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components in compliance with the BorgWarner Bill of Design.
- The job requires documenting designs as needed and developing interfaces with the supply base to support program needs.
- The engineer will follow a structured problem-solving approach to resolve issues that arise during the design process.
- The position is under the direct supervision of the Power Electronics Mechanical Engineering Manager.
⚡ Requirements
- A successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- The individual should possess strong mechanical design skills, particularly in the context of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems.
- Experience in powertrain, driveline, and packaging of electronics and circuit boards is essential.
- The candidate should be adept at performing mechanical analysis and verification, including thermal management and vibration capability assessments.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for interfacing with customers and providing presentations.
