✨ About The Role
- The Configuration Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of Systems Configuration Management in the development of traction inverters for electric vehicles.
- This role involves coordinating and approving product baselines to ensure project completeness.
- The engineer will develop and maintain configuration management plans and execute processes according to BorgWarner's framework.
- The position requires interfacing with customers and internal functions to establish configuration item reviews and baselines.
- The engineer will assist project leads in preparing initial project infrastructure and maintain configuration management documentation.
- Tracking, evaluating, and reporting configuration management status is a key responsibility.
- Participation in internal and external international project teams is expected.
- The role includes supporting production during the integration phase and driving continual process improvement through audits.
âš¡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have experience in Systems Engineering and familiarity with A-SPICE or EIA-649C.
- Proficiency in tools such as Polarion and JIRA is essential for success in this role.
- A strong understanding of power electronics, electric motors, and controls is necessary.
- The candidate should possess excellent coaching skills and be able to foster a team-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of German and/or French is advantageous.
- Global experience working with diverse regions and cultures will be beneficial.
