- The Safety Emergency Response Technician (SERT) will respond to emergency situations within an industrial manufacturing setting.
- SERTs are responsible for supervising SERT I and SERT II personnel and ensuring they are prepared to respond to emergencies.
- The role includes completing incident reports and ensuring timekeeping requirements are met.
- The technician will serve as the primary incident commander during emergency responses, including fire and chemical spills.
- Responsibilities also include performing high angle and confined space rescue operations, as well as first aid to injured personnel.
- The position requires maintaining and inspecting fire protection and life safety equipment regularly.
- The technician will conduct drills and simulations to prepare for industrial fire emergencies.

- The ideal candidate will have a current Certification as Firefighter I/II from a nationally accredited organization.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred, indicating a strong leadership capability.
- Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- The role requires the ability to handle conflict situations with good judgment, professionalism, and courtesy.
- Physical stamina and agility are essential, as the job involves lifting and carrying loads in excess of 125 pounds.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are necessary for this position.
