✨ About The Role
- The role involves structural review, leadership, and management of technical deliverables provided by Framework Consultants.
- The successful candidate will manage and provide cost-effective design solutions for M25 structures assets, including bridges and tunnels.
- Responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing deliverables from external designers and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- The role requires developing briefs with the design team and managing external framework design suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- The candidate will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing contractual documentation and managing the Design Review Process in accordance with the DBFO contract.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have relevant vocational qualifications such as MEng, MSc, BEng, BSc, HNC, or HND.
- Membership in a professional institution like ICE, IStructE, or IHT is essential, or being registered with the Engineering Council working towards IEng or CEng level.
- A minimum of 40 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the last 12 months, with at least 20 hours related to structures, bridges, or highway engineering, is required.
- Candidates should be competent in originating and checking Bridge Structural and/or Tunnel Structural Design and Assessment drawings, calculations, and risk assessments.
- Strong leadership and management skills are necessary to supervise engineers within the structures design team.
