✨ About The Role
- The Radiation Shielding Engineer will support the delivery of various client projects within the Nuclear & Power Division.
- Responsibilities include enhancing radiation protection and safety processes, assisting in bids and proposals, and contributing to the safety culture.
- The role involves directing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex and unique projects in highly regulated nuclear environments.
- The position encompasses all stages of project delivery, from initial setup to the completion of the project.
- The engineer will work on projects related to New Build, Generation, Defence, Decommissioning, and Disposal areas of the industry.
âš¡ Requirements
- A successful candidate will have a degree in science or engineering, preferably in physics, chemistry, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
- Experience with industry-recognized radiation transport codes such as MCNP, MCBEND, RANKERN, SCALE, and ATTILA is essential.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering shielding assessments and developing associated documentation.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative skills are necessary to work effectively within multi-disciplined project teams.
- An appreciation for safety-critical design requirements in the nuclear industry is crucial for success in this role.
