✨ About The Role
- The Process Engineering Assistant will provide design solutions and assessments for new and modified process systems, structures, and components.
- The role involves performing thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems and conducting design/analysis of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for mentoring and providing technical guidance to lower-grade engineers and other technical employees.
- Leadership on assigned tasks is crucial, ensuring adherence to project delivery requirements and schedules.
- The position requires preparing and reviewing design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, including design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering packages.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate should be a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, preferably with an engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in process-system design and analysis is required, particularly in the context of CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
- Candidates should have experience with nuclear power plant procedures and practices, as well as qualifications for engineering activities in nuclear settings.
- Strong analytical skills are essential, particularly in performing heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
