✨ About The Role
- The Process Engineering Assistant will provide design solutions and assessments for new, updated, and modified process systems, structures, and components.
- The role involves performing thermal-hydraulic evaluations on complex systems.
- The candidate will prepare and review design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, including Design Calculations, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, and Bill of Materials.
- The position requires preparing and reviewing Engineering Quotation Requests and Tender Technical Evaluations.
- The candidate will perform walkdowns and attend site visits and meetings as required.
- Ensuring adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements is a key responsibility.
- The role includes providing support for the preparation of Engineering proposals and ensuring adherence to the company quality program.
- The candidate will support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress and interface with internal and external stakeholders as required.

- The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills are essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience in process system design and layout will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with analytical tools used for mechanical and process design, such as ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, or CATHENA, is advantageous.
- Site experience in construction or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is beneficial.
- The candidate should be eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
