- The role involves structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric plants, and related structures made of concrete and steel.
- Responsibilities include the rehabilitation of hydraulic structures and coordination of multidisciplinary design meetings.
- The engineer will produce preliminary and detailed engineering, including structural calculations and associated notes.
- Participation and guidance in the production of key technical deliverables such as design reports, structural drawings, and technical specifications for tenders and construction are expected.
- The position is part of a dedicated team focused on hydroelectric projects, which may involve both Canadian and international markets.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures, and a master's degree is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design of building structures, bridges, and hydraulic structures is required.
- The candidate should be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or in the process of obtaining membership.
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is essential, and bilingualism is a plus.
- The candidate must be willing to conduct site visits and occasional travel for project needs.
