- The role involves coordination and execution of field programs, including intrusive investigations such as drilling and test pitting.
- The candidate will be responsible for the installation of geotechnical instrumentation, including piezometers and inclinometers.
- Supervision of subcontractors and subconsultants during project execution is a key responsibility.
- Preparation of technical reports documenting field activities, observations, and recommendations is required.
- The candidate must maintain knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and communicate effectively within the team.
- The role may require travel for site inspections, investigations, and construction projects across the province.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or advanced degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geoscience, or a related field.
- Candidates should be eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training or Geoscientist-in-Training.
- A minimum of one year of relevant industry experience in geotechnical engineering in Southern Ontario is required.
- Experience in geotechnical/environmental drilling in Ontario is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary for effective teamwork.
- The candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a positive team-oriented attitude.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract is required, along with a willingness to travel for project work.
