- The role involves assisting the Tunneling team with strategic bids and developing a network of business contacts to contribute to the growth of tunneling disciplines.
- Candidates will be expected to mentor early career team members and integrate with technical discipline and market leads.
- The position requires proven experience with advanced constitutive soil models and numerical modelling software such as FLAC or PLAXIS.
- Experience in advanced structural analysis and numerical modelling software like Robot or STAAD is also required.
- The role may involve travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.

- Candidates should have a strong academic background with a degree in civil or structural engineering, ideally at the MSc level, and possess Chartered status.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and technical skills, enabling them to develop and lead tunnelling design teams effectively.
- A proven track record in project management is essential, with experience in engineering consultancy and design markets.
- Successful candidates will have experience in tunnelling design within a fast-paced engineering consultancy environment.
- Strong communication skills are necessary, along with the confidence to liaise with clients and produce accurate reports.
