- The Internal Audit Director/Chief Audit Officer will provide strategic oversight of the internal audit function at Argonne National Laboratory.
- This role involves developing and executing an internal audit strategy aligned with the Laboratory's mission and objectives.
- The position requires overseeing the execution of internal audits in compliance with Argonne's Prime Contract with the DOE.
- Regular reporting to the Board of Governors Audit Committee on audit findings and organizational risks is a key responsibility.
- The role includes serving as a liaison between Argonne management and various external agencies authorized to audit the Laboratory.

- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a business discipline and over 15 years of experience in financial, operational, and information systems auditing.
- A strong track record of leadership and management is essential, with the ability to develop high-performance teams focused on employee development.
- The successful candidate will possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
- Experience in federal contracting and familiarity with relevant regulations is crucial for this role.
- The candidate should demonstrate strong risk management skills, including the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
