✨ About The Role
- The Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Program Manager will lead the transformation of Argonne's current HPI initiatives into a comprehensive program integrated across all facets of the Lab.
- This role involves developing and implementing policies and procedures to mitigate latent organizational weaknesses and apply HPI error management tools.
- The manager will assist functional area managers in integrating HPI principles within their organizations and oversee the training and effectiveness of HPI Practitioners.
- Participation in audits and assessments to monitor and improve the implementation of HPI principles at Argonne is a key responsibility.
- The role requires developing metrics, analyzing trends, and preparing reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making regarding HPI initiatives.

- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, psychology, organizational behavior, safety, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a DOE lab or other high hazard/risk facilities is essential for success in this role.
- The candidate should possess advanced problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills to effectively influence behavior and drive change.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to present and explain complex concepts to senior management and technical personnel.
- The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and apply project management principles is crucial for organizing and accomplishing work effectively.
