- The Engineering Technical Assistant will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining experimental setups for low-power electronic systems and high-voltage/high-power AC and DC systems.
- The role involves working closely with engineers and researchers to build and maintain research test equipment and project enclosures.
- The candidate will ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, particularly regarding high-voltage systems.
- Responsibilities include installing, programming, and operating data acquisition equipment, as well as performing electrical repairs and assembly of electrical equipment from scratch.
- The position requires the ability to conduct independent assignments with limited direction and to supervise non-exempt technicians as needed.
