✨ About The Role
- The role involves supporting the Fund Controller on certain funds based out of the US, which typically have a complex, hybrid PE structure.
- Responsibilities include monthly and quarterly reporting, working closely with the operations and administrator fund accounting team.
- The candidate will maintain and review accounting records on the Apollo system and reconcile them with administrator records.
- Preparation and review of the Fund’s Financial Statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS is a key responsibility.
- The role includes calculating and invoicing management fees and carried interest, as well as fund performance calculations to meet GIPS requirements.
- The candidate will assist in the quarterly valuation process and oversee external auditors regarding statutory fund audits.
- Collaboration with colleagues across New York, India, and London is essential, as well as liaising with current and prospective Fund Investors.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in fund finance or fund administration.
- A qualified Chartered Accountant or strong accounting academic background is essential for this role.
- The candidate should possess experience working with complex financial products such as MBS, CDS, and Bank Loans.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Attention to detail is crucial, as the role involves maintaining and reviewing full accounting records and preparing financial statements.
