✨ About The Role
- The Instrument Field Engineer will be responsible for responding to plant breakdowns and providing control and instrumentation expertise.
- This role involves preparing detailed written reports after assignments, including technical information and recommendations.
- The engineer will support the commissioning of new plant and equipment, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Maintenance responsibilities will include routine and major overhaul maintenance as per the Plant Maintenance program.
- The position requires carrying out plant modifications and submitting design changes for approval through the MOC process.
- The engineer will provide training to personnel in maintenance practices and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Approximately 20-30% of the time will be spent supervising Air Products personnel and contractors, ensuring productivity and safety.

- The ideal candidate will have completed a formal instrumentation apprenticeship and possess a tertiary vocational qualification, such as an HNC or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of post-apprenticeship experience in control and instrumentation systems is required for this role.
- The successful individual will be able to read and interpret instrumentation drawings, trip panel drawings, and logic diagrams effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are essential for interacting with team members and management.
- The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility and readiness to respond to operational requirements at any time are crucial for this position.
- Experience in supervising contractors and ensuring safety and effectiveness in maintenance tasks is important.
